Background
Mill Creek was founded in 2003 to fulfill the visions of Donlyn Lyndon’s 1990 plan for the neighborhood’s revitalization. The company is managed by Ken & Tracy McCormick, both former investment bankers with J.P. Morgan. They have a deep interest in urban design and quality buildings, long-time supporters of Pasadena through civic groups, schools, the Huntington Library, the Pasadena Community Foundation, and the Pasadena Playhouse. Ken and his team worked with the architectural firm RTKL in 1988 to develop an urban design proposal for the area (right) which led to the Playhouse District’s formation.
